About the Course Developer
Garry Germinal received a post-masters certificate in Nursing education from Excelsior college. He has been a member of the nursing profession for 26 years and practiced in varied care settings. Since 1999, Garry has worked as a nurse consultant in the areas of nursing education, clinical and regulatory guidelines, clinical system management, health care risk management, infusion therapy, legal nursing, and wound management.
He is a certified and licensed healthcare risk management, legal nurse consultant, and infusion nurse specialist. Garry developed core nursing courses for the Associate Degree programs and continuing education courses in infusion therapy, HIV/AIDS, Safe Medication Practices, wound management, and others.
In his role as a nurse educator, he serves as a guest lecturer for nursing schools. He uses a blend of contemporary and traditional approaches to teaching such as debate, dialogue, discussions and other heuristics that promote active learning and imparting of knowledge.
